Here's a real basic questionairre about Hawaii. It's part of Hawaiian Studies class to see what people know/think about the most commonly visited state in the country. Thanks for help! I'll post the answers at the end of the week.

Thanks for reminding me Jammin; finals this week so it's been a bit hectic

1. generally residents of Hawaii (and especially native Hawaiians) would argue no as a lot of the money spent here does not get filtered into the local economy but back to the larger corporations such as the Hilton etc. However, tourism does provide jobs (at somewhat low rates in comparison to other industries) for people in Hawaii. It's not necessarily black and white.
