I remember the Gemini and Apollo control rooms. They were just as excited. All white guys too. That was decades ago though.

I read that the wiring bundles have tied knots rather than zip ties, because this gives a less abrasive way to hold the bundles with even pressure around the perimeter of the bundle. I remember an audio of one of the NASA scientist having a first look at the 3D pictures with special googles, and having the real sense of standing on that barren landscape. I think it would be neat if they could have an audio feed, as well as pictures, and hear the wind blowing from the surface of Mars.

Wait...I'm sure that audio of what Curiosity is hearing. The rover is just getting going. they've already done some tests and experiments that they hadn't planned for!
