How tight for Treemotion leg straps?

I love my Treemotion, best saddle out there IMO, and far more durable than you hear the rumours about...

just curious , how tight do you guys/gals keep the leg straps?

Mine are kinda' loose, was thinking on snugging them up, but it seems to make the likelihood of an inadvertent squeeze more prevalent

any thoughts?

... does anyone else find the bungies breaking constantly after a few years of use?

Now that's funny!

I've had mine rather tight, just because of the way the bridge is threaded. It seems I'm more suspended from my legs than the waist, and when I am in somewhat horizontal positions, or any position similar, it feels like the leg straps would want to work their way towards my knees. Does that make any sense? FWIW, I've also been wearing cycling shorts under my Ascender pants, which feels a bit better in all regards. Kinda holds things in place...ya know? It's still the nicest saddle I've used so far.

That's the first I've heard. Was the TM II rumored, or is there real discussion out there? I just got mine, so there's no way I can even think about an updated one anyway.

the rumors of the durability have been answered, that heavy duty PVC stuff is bullet proof! lol

not sure what they could improve on, but I'd be game to find out.

I run my leg straps tight. I feel it balances out the weight between legs and waist. I spent a lot of time dialing in the upper adjuster from the hip pad to the lower d rings to get the balance of the saddle feeling right and prevent any unwanted movement, either tword the groin or back pad riding up to high.

I saw a pic at one point of a updated treemotion back pad that was a bit more articulated to fold around the hips better.

(Im no treemagineer but) The only other improvement I could see is attachments for a rated dorsal and sternum(is that the right word) attachment points for bucket work and areal rescue. Honestly though I like the idea of suspenders way more than the reality

I wear them pretty snug. I wouldn't say tight. It keeps them in place better, and I haven't experienced any discomfort. PUClimber wore his loose and lost a testicle to the TM when one of his leg loops shifted.

Jeezus! Lost a testicle? WTF?

I prefer the leg loops to be tight, so that they don't move around at all. I find testicular comfort is greatest when I don't have to worry about the leg loop resting somewhere it shouldn't.

I don't much like the way that on the treemotion tightening the leg loops moves the bridge further down. I suggested to Mark Bridge that they have separate straps to tighten the leg loops and to attach the legs to the bridge. I would love to see this on the TMII, but kinda doubt they're gonna change the design because of my crackpot ideas. As it is, I run my leg loops kinda loose because I think it's most important to have the bridge in a comfortable position.

Oh also pretty sure the new TM version is gonna be a ways out, like over a year.

I wear my leg straps not to tight and not to lose, Just enough so I can adjust them when I take my weight off of the saddle. I adjust the bungees in the back so the straps ride lower on your leg so it doesn’t catch your nuts when you sit down.
