How much to mix in the Tank

Just a follow up on an earlier post.

Now that I have a better understanding of the "spray to runoff" application the next question is what is the best way to determine how many gallons to mix.

Clearly a tree of a given size will require so many gallons of product to reach a saturated run off state.

What rule of thumb do you folks use in determining how many gallons of product to mix up?

For example if you had a single Picea pungens 25 feet tall with a spread of 10 feet to spray how much would you prepare? How do you arrive at that amount?

Also, at the end of the day, assuming we use it all up, then we must clean the tank and system. What do you folks do with the rinse water? What are we supposed to do with the water?

I've been reading our state regs and all it says is "Dispose of properly" but doesn't tell us what properly is.

ThanX for the help!

About 5 gallons, maybe less. Depends on the gun used (nozzle size), wind speed. Disposal of rinsate (if strained, for debris) can be used as lawn irrigation water. Container disposal is done after triple-rinsing and puncturing the bottom of the container. My Technicians treat about 10 to 12 properties a day w/disease control and insect control as needed, they mix about 200 to 300 gallons a day. Most products when mixed have a 4 to 6 day tank life, therefore using ALL of it every day is not needed.
