How cold is too cold?

When it's below freezing, down jackets or vests are workable.

It's easy enough to stay warm, when dry.

Insulated boots are important.

One time, when while on an extended backpacking trip for work in the Colorado Rockies, I had bad gear, it was October, 10-12,000', and I didn't get hypothermia for three weeks.

Boiled two quarts of water each night, wrapping the nalgene water bottles in a fleece something, in the bottom of my old sleeping bag, in my three- season tent. That's cold. Wake up with cold feet, have cold feet for the day, unless there was travel, and go to bed with cold feet, which warm up before sleep.

Insulated over-boots were on order after returning, and getting paid. And a down jacket and a synthetic jacket and good poly pro long underwear, fleece pants, and a negative-40* sleeping bag... Gone are the days of pro-deals, unfortunately.

I haven’t used the milwaukee jacket, my inclination is it would get trashed by the rain.

I’ve never had a bucket truck that had a power plug in it; that wouldn’t fly in a dielectric bucket truck. Most arborist bucket truck tools are gas or air powered. Starting to see more cordless electric

Pro-deals are still around in other industries. I’ve got friends who get stuff through Arcteryx, Patagonia, Icebreaker, etc often at a 70-90% discount
