How are the Slow Release Fert. Stakes?

Location

I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with these stakes. What's there to say about them? Have you heard of any better alternative without buying a big chemical truck?

When I was doing landscaping I dug up many of the stakes or big tablets...many years later. Slow release is good...but...glacial slow?

Lots of ways to fert without a big truck. Find out what the ISA has prepared for PHC.

Broadcast is simplest, least expensive and best method for fertlizing with all things being equal.

Stakes and pucks is like prutting the groceries in the basement. Never did make any sense to me.

Doesn't the broadcasting method burn the grass? I assume you're dropping a mix that is best for trees not the grass, so does that not affect the grass?

Does anyone carry around a liquid fert. pump, and drive the applicator a few feet in the ground?

Since I've been using the stakes, I have to drop those a few feet under to avoid burning the grass. I've been thinking about the liquid fert. in a pump, and how that would be a lot faster and easier to get in the ground a few more feet to avoid the grass roots.

Grass? the most durable weed on the planet some yellowing or dieback is acceptable imo.

If it has a high salt index water it in or wait for it to rain.

If you place a Fert stake or liquid fert or granular fert next to a substantial root it will suffer.

Putting all your eggs in one basket or dropping fert in holes has never been shown to be any better than broadcasting. That is well documented ISA juournals, texts and manuals.
Aeration is the big benefit to making holes. If the soil is compacted or clayey. Anything less than 600psi is pointless from my experience as well.
Take care
