horror flicks and chainsaws

Ive wondered for a long time why in horror flicks alot of times the monster/all around bad guys, are using chainsaws to attack people with. I would think that people would get tired attacking people with a chainsaw, wielding it around in wide arcs, and all that running around. plus it would be really dangerous running around with a chainsaw over their head, like what if they tripped. Also dont they ever run out of gas or are they like "hang on i need to mix up some 50:1 give me 2 secs...Where is the 2 cycle oil...I NEED THE 2 cycle !"

Also I think that most chainsaws (negating some of our smaller climbing saws) are not that manueverable, what with the handle in the back and all.

Just something I noticed

P.S. I have too much time on my hands

I don't know adam...I think that you could make one of those shoulder straps to hold oil cans instead of rifle shells...also you could probably use a large camelback to mix your gas in...then just attach a long hose to your carb...then you wouldn't have many problems with running out of fuel. You could then modify the bar for easy carrying...cut out the center so it looks like a brush bar...or get a titanium bar. you can remove the brake...since you don't need to worry about doing any more damage with a kick back. I'm not really sure what else you could do.

something i notice, in almost every case of a chainsaw being started and used in a movie, they are always cold started, no choke, and they fire off at full revs everytime
where can we buy saws like this?
