Home Grown Documents

Hello,

How many of you company owners have created your own training and safety documents? Would any of you hire someone to create such documents? Is there a need for this type of training in your area?

Last year I got knocked down from an illness that affected my neurological systems. It pretty well knocked me out of the tree game after more than a decade.

I started college. I wanted to set myself up to be a better arborist, in the event that I get to return to tree care. I wrote a small document with a safety and worksite setup emphasis. It is nowhere near a complete book or document, but I figured I would share. In the off chance that you read this, and think it is usable, please let me know.

Again, this document is not a complete "how to" type of thing.

I am beginning to get healthier, and am hoping to start getting back to some semblance of normalcy. I thought this may be one way for me to showcase some of what I know, in an effort to bring value to prospective companies.

Thank you for your input, ideas, and responses in advance.

Respectfully,

Brandon

Perfect!!! I'd utilized a lot of TCIA stuff throughout the years. I agree that there is a lot of good information from them. Thank you for your insight.

I discovered some states require companies to have unique documents to their company. I.e. a healthcare company that provides drug testing services must have its own unique safety and training documents that are separate and proprietary to that company.

Thank you for your insight into the topic. Glad to hear y'all are using those resources for your employees.

Sorry to hear about the neuro issues. I've got neurological damage (MS) but still climb, though I find myself wondering for how long. You seem to have taken things in stride and are transitioning. Hang in!
