From a liability standpoint, if the property owner didn't have knowledge of that old tank, would their insurance pay for house damages or would they come back on your ins.???? Again, I don't know. Just asking.
Ground penetrating radar???....
Second one would be how to prevent a completely unknown hole/tank collapse?
That's great, and youre a stand up guy. I'd likely do close to the same. How is your crane?I really don't. Even consider legality with these things. Too me it just seemed to make sense to offer to pay. We did 2 big oaks and I will be grinding stumps for $6100. I'm guessing as there is going to be an excavator on site as they are digging a foundation for an addition the cost will be under a $1000. I already got a$4200 removal literally next door. It's just a freaking blip, no one got hurt and crane is good. I'll take it
Sounds like it should be very cheap the excavator has to pay to haul the excess dirt out do just put it in the hole...hell he should pay you! HahaI really don't. You may want to inquire with the health authority? And local building codes? It definitely is a mandatory thing here. There is also the water protection act.Don't think that same law applies in Ohio...not sure about the OP.
I am super glad all is well Paul. Hope this is your one off experience.I really don't. Even consider legality with these things. Too me it just seemed to make sense to offer to pay.
