Hockey Hockey Hockey

Wild "game" last night. That is the first time I have ever left the arena with a full beer. To see people leaving with hot dogs , pizza, ect. was as strange as seeing Fisher getting CPR on the bench. I hope this is not an end to him being on the Wings. The good thing is at least he is stable and alert.
 
With 7:30 to go in the first period you saw the Red Wing players beating on the boards with their sticks. It was all the players so you knew they were not looking for a shift change. When that did not work (talking seconds here) the Wings cleared the bench finally causing a stoppage. You saw one lone wing collaped on the bench with the staff giving him CPR. Yzerman and Draper skated over to the tunnel and waved for the ambulance. They grabbed the gurney and skated for the bench.Shortly after that an EMT arrived with the paddles. (no announcements where being made so the arena was full of fans on cell phones trying to get info. So many at once that the system was overloaded)They used the paddles to restart Fishers heart and quickly hauled him off to the hospital. About 20 min after the incident with Fisher they announced that the game would be rescheduled due to the tramatic experiance on the bench.
 
Now I am not unfeeling for Fisher, But he was ok at the hospital, vitals stable, aleart and talking. Heck the NFL has had players DIE and the continued. I still don't get the reason to cancell the rest of the game.
 
He was fine 40 min after he collaped. They will keep Jiri in for the next few days to run some tests,but they have no idea what caused the incident at this time.

I thought for sure it was going to overtime, then Rolly lets one slide through with a minute of regulation left /forum/images/graemlins/crazy.gif It wouldnt be so bad if he didnt let one slide through in the first minute of play too.

All in all great game though. It was good to see Gaborik back on the ice.

Ill start hunting for that opus
 
I can taste that Opus X already..........what's up with those OILERS! Make sure you pick up an Opus X for yourself. It is prob the best non Cuban cigar out there.
 
AWESOME! what a deke from the big man. behind the back through the legs, hahaha, Kolzig probably wants to slap the taste out of his mouth for making him dance on that one!
