'Hitch Climber'

Re: \'Hitch Climber\'

I couldn't find one but I see they'll ship overseas. 26 pounds is about 50 bucks, I think plus whaterver the 17%VAT is and shipping. Probably be around 70 bucks by the time you got it here.

Re: \'Hitch Climber\'

Chris spent a loooong time going over the HC with me in Minneapolis. It is one fine piece of kit! There are many applications for it besides a slack tender. The way it works as a slack tender is orders of magnitude better than anything previous. Add to that all of the other uses and it is a great value.

Besides it's function the way it's manufactured is something to know. Chris and I talked a lot about how they worked through the prototyping to make it such a sweet piece of metal.

Re: \'Hitch Climber\'

This thing looks nice. I've been looking at the new CMI slack tender that allows double carabiner connecting...

I see they say this is also a rigging plate.

What do they mean by that?

I wonder if you could just girth hitch a sling around the sheave, then gith hitch the whole thing to a branch, and use it as a 3-holed rigging plate?

Re: \'Hitch Climber\'

They wont have the hitch climber, but your welcome to play with my CMI Mickey Mouse. So far I like the idea, but dont care for it too much. The hitch's wraps bump into the splice, afraid it might not grab when I need it to.

Also the ropes are so danged close together its a pain, but I am still playing with it a bit, who knows.
