well i tried a petzl microacender rope grab with hitch climber by installing it above everything and attaching a karabiner to it and looping rope back up through it so you pull down to ascend it is awesome and effortless you can ascend in mid air alittle slow but i think that will change over time. Also thought about rigging a small rope like throw ball rope to go through tie in point and tie to rope grab so if i want i can pull up grab all the way to tie in point if needed without having to push up every time just playing with ideas some good some bad.

Well, after the talk in this thread, I just couldnt take it.

Ordered the hitch climber pulley, some more 5mm accessory cord, and a shiny new Petzl Vertex vent for the rec climbing I'll undoubtedly do this coming season......

One step closer to gear whoring.....

ima hitch climber with a michocaun love it i wont change it i love the michocaun cuz you dont have to ease back into ur saddle u can jus drop and it will bite in my opinion thats the way to go

Just wanted to point out that the mechanical advantage being discussed above is a compound 6:1 i.e 2:1 acting on 3:1. Great for rescue scenarios.....

I thought maybe you were up too late. Yet it is a simple 6 to 1. It's funny how the industry never recognized the built in 2to1. Are you going to Germany for the show?
