Even at the low end, $60k w govt. perks would be a decent living.
I've chatted with a couple of the 'boots in the field' arbos on that crew. It sounds like the County is building up a proper tree care program not just shuffling maintenance workers around.
This job may only having limited funding but its hard to imagine that the County wouldn't do what it takes to keep the funding going.
