Lower feed motor quit on the job yesterday. Getting 2250 psi to the bad motor. Does anyone have a source for these motors? Painfully slow progress through Altec..

Also I am looking for a mechanics manual for this chipper; not the owners manual but a real shop manual if they made one....

Thanks.

We've got a '99 WC17 with a blown engine. Everything else on it worked fine until the connecting rod came out the side of the block. Sitting in New Haven, CT. If your looking for a parts machine (or with an engine swap, a really good machine) PM me.

Can you read the numbers on the tag on the feedwheel motor? We probably have some new ones and some used ones. If it's the one I think it is, they are around $350. Let me know if it is something I can help you with.

Thanks anyway but I ended up finding the problem. Did not realize it had keyed shafts. Just needed new woodruff keys and the set screws retightened. FWIW I found the motors through Altec in Shelby, NC. They are around 600 each +/-
