Help buying next stump grinder - Bandit 2550 or Carlton 5014

Hey folks,

Learned a lot from this forum and appreciate all the advice given here. I'm looking for advice on my next stump grinder. Right now Im using the Bandit 1844 with the 38hp motor, which is belt driven. I like the machine minus a few quirks and its the only one small enough to get into a lot of the backyards I'm doing. The stumps seem to keep getting bigger though and I'm looking for a step up. I'm between the Carlton 5014 with a 54hp motor and the Bandit 2550 with the diesel motor. I'm in California and any bigger machine would be pretty hard to navigate through most of the yards here. Any advice on picking between the 2? I like the idea of no belts on the 2550 but the couple videos I saw seemed like it didn't have a ton of power. Does anybody have the 54hp on the Carlton? I can't seem to find out much about that motor. I think the 37hp Carlton would not be much better than what I have now. I'd love a Carlton 7015 but I'd probably never pay it off! Thanks ahead.

I’ve had my 2550 for 5 seasons, 0 issues, has made us a lot of money
