Its a Burr Oak. The photo is not the best it was taken with a disposible camera on a cloudy day. Heavy rigging is one of my favorite things to do just would not want to do it every day. That tree required alot of lifting, the GRCS came in real handy.

Good, a guy who posts pictures of himself wearing his PPE while working.

I like seeing other peoples removals. Would you mind posting more pics?

Mark, yes it was split to the ground and was being held up by two 5/16" EHS cables.Besides that it was very healthy. The level of risk was too high for the client. I wrote an article on it that will appear in Arborist News. Joe, on that cut I made a face cut curffed the sides made the back cut and the GRCS did the rest. Wrong attachment

Tod: thanks for posting the pics. Do you have any more? I'll save any questions till after I read the A.N. article. I may have some that's not answered from reading it. Which month should I expect to see this article?

BTW, I always thought Todd was spelled with 2 ds.

Hey TK,

Post some more of those pictures. Just go to your Power Point program and do a Copy, then paste it in the picture file.

There's some pretty awesome pictures in there that I think everyone would like to see.

In this picture, Todd couldn't figure out if he wanted to rig a false crotch or use a natural crotch.
