Hartford rec climb?

I may have some time to kill after the show and prior to a meeting in Cape Cod on Monday. Count me in for a climb anywhere in the region for Sunday.

I have a friend who lives near Hartford looking into sites. I'll post when we nail down the time and location.

Right on!!!! It will be great to hang out and climb with you again. Let's hope that infamous New England rain holds out for us. Man, I have not been in the Hartford area since my ill fated year of college at Central Connecticut State. Anyone know if Justin Donahue is going to make this trip? I am pretty sure he is somewhere in the area.

I talked with Bruce Duffy yesterday and he said JD just had an operation on his foot this week. He may be there I don't know, but I don't think he will be climbing by then. Let's hope so.

PS if you see him Rich talk him into coming down in Jan.

Confirmed the site last night, its about 25 mins out side of Hartford. We're looking at Sat a.m. for climb time.

Tom- I talked to Alban this morning, he'll be there.

Rich- ditto, it will be nice to climb with you in some decent weather (fingers crossed)

As for JD, I left a message for him this a.m., I'll update you when he calls me back

I'll try to be there. Hope to see you all. Defiantly will see you at the show though. Dan (stoked) gggeeeeaaarrrrr! yeah

climb was awesome! Big thanks to American Arborists of Andover CT. for letting us use their property. I know a few people had cameras, I'm sure the pics will be up soon.

For those of you who were there, check yourself for ticks! I had a few hitchhikers take the trip back to Beantown with me.

I just have a handful of photos, I was too busy trying to out blab Sean to take pictures. Great people all around. It's been said before but I'll say it again, the tree climbing community is awesome. Thanks to the Byam family and Andover Tree Service for hosting the climb.

A little on the cool side but we had some warm sun and the trees were in a protected valley. Climbers were warm, groundies were getting a little chilled by the end of the day.

Hey, Saturday was great fun. I wish I had more time to have done more. Thanks for the hosts. What, there were 12-15 of us around-- peace, cheer, cool fall air.

Quite a mix of people from all over, different climbing techniques and gear, people of many ages, shapes, and sizes, all for a step off the ground. And just enough rope for us to do it, right moss? ;)

It was quite a while since I'd been up a tree without a saw. The chance to meet some of y'all---but still behind brain buckets and safety glasses [lol]--- was fantastic.
