Thanks all!

I spent it driving from Thunder Bay to Sudbury.

Just got on Treebuz for the first time in several weeks.
Just made the trip with Chip (Blinky) to get all my crap from Canada.
He says the trip's not epic unless we nearly die doing it. I guess it was not quite epic then but there were some moments on the Interstate I do not want to relive!

14 hours airports and flying to Calgary. 3900 kilometers (4 and a half days) by Jeep to Ottawa. Then after the Jeep was kitted out with a new windshield and a hitch for a UHaul and new tranny fluid it was south to North Carolina.

Visited tree climbers along the way, some of them old friends and colleagues and some newly met, including Cary Gibson in Brockville. Would have been sweet to have more time to bother yet more people along the way, but eventually work must get done. Under time constraints. Sigh.

I have a 3 year TN Visa!

This visa is applied for on exit. You literally have to have boarding pass in hand and ask for the visa. The papers have to be completely in order. I guess the $$$ I gave to a good immigration lawyer paid off.

Needless to say I was wound tight as a piano wire when I went for it. Sold my house,got rid of most of my stuff, no job and nowhere to go but forward.

That's how adventures work though, right?
 
Welcome to the L48, Frax. I hope you can enjoy whatever happens in this new adventure. That's quite a jump for both of you, and I wish you the best. Looks like a WHOLELOTTA arb in one place.
