That looks like New England APEX dynamic climbing rope. It comes in 10mm, 10.5mm and 11mm sizes. From the color (eggplant), I'd guess it is the 11mm version. Also sold under the Teufelberger and Maxim names.
Try it for your needs... you might be surprised. Here's another odd one for you.. pic looks too yellow because of the cheap camera, cardboard backdrop and shitty lighting... it's very bright red, actually. Half-inch, 48-strand, static rescue kernmantle with a tensile strength up close to 10k lbs. and 100% nylon construction. It has no more bounce on ascent/descent than any of the arborist ropes I have, but if you shock load it, you can feel the stretch! Unfortunetly, I don't think it can be hand spliced.
Swing- the second rope is Jeff's. Mine came from a SherrillTree box of rope. I'm looking forward to seeing how it works as a lanyard. I'll use a chafe sleeve on it because of the thinner jacket; not my favorite thing, but oh well.
I have a friend who buys a lot of end of roll cuts, etc. from the rope OEMs and sells them on feeBay. He gave me three hanks of it (57', 43' and 37') the longer of which I have indeed climbed on. The pic is the shortest hank, the other two I use for descent lines on ham radio tower/antenna work.
My current lanyard is 12mm kernmaster...treestuff put my favorite ISC double locking snap....sewn eyes for termination....have had it for over 2 years...that and a 10.5 platinum one same style....last for ever...but I have many spliced new ones sitting around..prob 6
