ground control

Nice job... Love the base redirect, the porty, and the rear mount log loader.. not so much the side loaded natural crotch rigging.. Side loading your rigging lines is an easy way to kill the climber. VERY EASY!

wadda you mean side loading your rigging lines? sounds like something important to understand.

the log loader is boss, but our crew winds up doing a lot of back yard climber removals, so you still gotta get the logs from point A to point B.

at 3:09.. the block with yellow strap, Lowering line is run to the neighboring maple tree, with no re-direct... any type of shock loading is going to put considerable side load force (bending moment) on the stem. I didn't notice at first that you were working from the bucket, so its not as crucial, since any stem failure is not going to kill the climber.. However, its good to avoid the practice.... Don't side load your trees.. That's pretty simple.. JUST DON"T DO IT! Use a redirect...

alright yeah i get what your saying now thanks for that. when my buddy's on the ground i let him run things how he wants to run it cause he's pretty efficient, so i didnt put much thought to it at the time.
