Got one of these today, not for tree climbing but for my airsoft vest. Thinking it might have some uses on my tree saddle? Chiansaw lanyard? What do you guys and gals think.

Hé Tom, I saw the second reason for posting your link (at the bottom of that page) /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif Just tree related equipement is not good enough for you is it. Nice clip, I wonder how much load it can handle and weather the open position is still a "hook" (good) or if it swivels open further (not so funny).

Don't know if you noticed in Minneapolis, but I have one of these on my harness (yes that one). At the moment I am using it for dyneema slings. Surprisingly easy to operate with gloved hands even behind your back....

Load? My guess is don't push it too hard! Might be good for one of those Petzl rescue knives though....

I picked up two of them today from Brigade Quartermaster. Tomorrow I'm going to be making some changes to my harness so I'll see where they end up. Pretty clever little clips. I'll take pictures of the mods.

Cris, did you get them in the US of A or is there a place in Europe where we can score it. Jelte (probably even more a gadgetfreak than I am) and I could probably make up a nice 'use' for the thingies during worktime /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have a hard time convincing companies that I don't want printed literature or catalogs as long as they have a website. Keeping a file of electrons is much easier than paper.
