Green waste recycling?

I was wondering how many of you have knowledge in the green waste arena. We started making colored mulch in march and have done well with it. I am about to start bagging it and want to know down side. I have done my research and would like to hear other opinions.

Great idea. There are a number of mulch companies around me in Northeast NJ. They do mostly bulk stuff no bags. Are you selling direct to the public or will it be wholesaled to retailers? Most of the bagged mulch at the local retail outlets (i.e., Home Depot, Metropolitan Plant Exchange, Lowes) comes from Canada.

Good luck!

We are selling some to the public but it makes it hard to sell wholesale locally so we are phasing out retail by increasing the price per yard. The bulk of our sales is wholesale and they are asking for bags but I don't know if we really need to buy a bagging machine this close to winter. I have heard some companies bag all winter to get ready for spring. I don't really know the reality of that as I am still in the learning process.
You can produce other products from your chips and we are researching a way to press them into fire logs. The hard part is seperating the chip from the pine needles and leaves.Another product is erosion control blankets and tubes. The problem starts when you run out of chips with orders to fill. Anyway thanks for the input.
