GRCS \'Visor\' attachment

Anyone using this attachment?
I have been using it and I gotta say the thing has made using the GRCS way easier on removal trees.
All ya gotta do is cut a kerf in the trunk, and hang the GRCS into it. Then one person can attach the strap and cinch it up. It also wont slid up the trunk on big loads.

Notice a 'kerf' is cut into the tree for proper mounting.

Here is a picture of the 'visor' attachment. It is hooked onto the GRCS.
The Visor will fit ANY GRCS made and is quickly removed or attached by using the same pin type that holds the capstan in place. Greg Good (262) 719-0100
supplies all the parts needed to use the Visor.
It is quick to attach and makes the GRCS much much easier to use on removal trees.
All ya gotta do is cut a kerf in the removal tree and then hang the GRCS onto the tree by inserting the Visor into the kerf. One person can hang the GRCS onto the tree and then attach and cinch up the strap.

I do. I also bought a Hobbs in 1989.

How much does the Visor cost?

My Hobbs was designed to be seated into kerfs cut into the tree.

I dont know what the visor cost, that is why I posted Greg Good's contact information so folks could deal with him direct. does'nt cost anything to make a phone call...

The visor & GRCS is a perfect combo. You can use the GRCS for removals OR save trees because the attachment can be taken off the base plate easily for pruning, unlike the Hobbs which does'nt have that capacity.

I am glad you have the GRCS. I have learned to like it alot more than the Hobbs. I learned tree work using the Hobbs and I think the GRCS is a better tool in every way over the Hobbs.
