I am too. Think I might 'fund' hoping to get a titanium grapple and a larger unit if they do that.

I'd sent the creator a message asking about weight. His reply was "The stainless version is 12 oz. while the titanium version I estimate to be about 6 oz."

Totally forgot to post here when I got mine. Definitely works as advertised. I find the steel version better than the plastic one, there just isn't enough weight on the plastic version to always trigger the claws. I haven't had a chance to really put it to a real world test, but my son has been having a blast picking up toys downstairs from the balcony. Of course, he's not satisfied with just that, he wants me to build a crane arm to use with it, or set up a carriage on the snack trolley(utility zipline from deck to playset, snacks n stuff only, no riders) so he can use it like a yarder like he saw on Ax Men.

I got the titanium version but haven't played with it much. Seems too light; can't imagine tossing it very far, especially in the wind. Probably should have gotten the steel instead.
