Got the Footlock down today!!!

Well, I've been praticing and I finally got up the tree using the footlock method!!! It was only about 20ft or so, but it was such a thrill, to finally have gotten it down some. It wasn't really a total fl though. Since I'm still working on my arm strength, I had to put some weight in my knot, so it was no where near as fast as anyone on here, but it was still awesome!!! I was no where near as tired after getting in the tree, as I would normally be if I had body thrust.

Thata Boy Ranger!!! I knew you could do it! Tell me how you felt. If the word is satified, Or thrilled, let me tell you than I know the feeling. Proud of you bro!! Keep it up. You will only get better!
But remember, hip thrusting has it's place. Sometimes it is faster.
Anyways, gr8 job!

Good job, keep at it.

Kristian(Whiz) tells me to keep working on core, strengthening the abs, back & stomach muscles.
I'm still working on it, I'm not very good at the FL, ok actually I stink at it.

Your young enough to get all the right body parts in motion to be able to become a blazing footlocker. Good luck.

Thanks guys!! Tomorrow is more practice, after homework is done!!

I also have a new found respect for those of you doing this day in/day out. Today, we went up to our Aunt's house to do our once a year prune/remove. I got to do my first spike job, a small tree, maybe 30ft. I really struggled getting up the first few steps. There's a real technique to spiking up a tree!! I think I have one pic, of me in spikes, on the tree. Only one since our memory card was full after that one.

Thanks for the great comments guys!!!

Blazing is definitely not what I am now!!! Hopefully though, after a ton of practice, and a few comps, I'll give Mark a run for his money and gain the title of the World's fastest footlock time!!

Pictures? I used to use the klemheist but switched to a 3 wrap standard prussik and it feels a bit smoother on the ascent. Of course this is all depending on the length and type of cordage I'm sure.

Same here, switched from a Klem to a regular Prusik after it didn't tighten up and hold for me one day.
