Got the Footlock down today!!!

I've been using a Distel for my footlock prusik lately, works great on the doubled rope, and I don't need a pickaxe and my teeth to release it if it gets jammed tight by my almost-200 lbs.

I never advanced up to the foot lock method. If I stayed in Santa Rosa there's no doubt I would have, but on the coast 99% of the work we do is conifer removals and doesn't lend itself at all to footlocking for getting the job done.

I have long felt that I was left out of something important in this trade by not ever mastering the footlock method.

It's good on you, Adrian to have already developed the skill at a young age. You surely will have no regrets in the future for your efforts today.
