We got some snow Cam, suppose to get another shot tomorrow, hope it'll hold off.

We have the cold just no snow here. Hope it stays that way. It was in the low 20s today with a wind chill of 4. Just not use to it so early, this is more like January and february. Heat wasn't working in the new crane today, I think the diesel may have gelled for the heater.

10 below here this morning, high of 20 tomorrow. It's do-able as long is the wind is low.

Re: Got me some toys!

Your neighbors have GOT to love ya Jim! Too bad you don't have sidewalks.

If you decide that you need chains look for used ones from cars. A few screwlinks and some plier work and you'll have chains.

When I put chains on my Waldon there wasn't any snow that I couldn't waddle through! Those chains were from a tractor and had large diameter links.

My ATV had chains but they didn't go on every winter. I would have been in the garage stretching chain this week though I know!

Oh...tools are tax deductible, toys aren't

Gotcha. So the one in the photo pulling the tree out is articulating, but not the 140? What is the difference do you think?

The al20 has a telescopic boom, the 140 does not. Gehl should have considered this when they built the 140 because it's a real advantage. It kind of works as a winch when you're pulling on a heavy load and need an extra little jerk, also keeps the unit more compact, it's not as long. The 140 is more top heavy, I don't like that, it is user friendly though, much more comfortable to run. I believe the 140 is a 26 hp Yanmar, the al20 is a 20 hp Kubota, both are good engines. I played around with the 140 but never had a chance to work it.
Dave would be the guy to talk to about the 140 Mark, he knows the machine much better than I do.

One other thing, the al20 is discontinued, the 140 is the replacement.

Not enough clearance to use chains on the Gehl Tom, I might think about it for the Thomas though. The Gehl has the ag-lug tires, IMO they're much better than the turf tires, more traction and you don't notice a difference with track marks while driving over nice turf.

Make sure that you shut it off a couple of minutes before you shut off the truck or drive down the road, it takes time to go out properly so it starts up right next time. Ours was a real pain in the butt until we got used to it.

I want to hear more about your lunch! what in the hell was that? whats your job site heating mechanism? Hot lunches would be very nice.

Hey Jim sweet blower, how wide, how much hydraulic flow needed and why did you remove your rollbar?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think it's 44" wide, not sure how much flow is needed, it's a toro attachment that was built for the dingo. I took the roll bar off because it was to high to fit in my old chip truck. I plan to put it back on.

White chicken lasagna. I freeze pieces in aluminum foil and set them on my Big Buddy propane heater . We use it to heat my cargo trailer.

I went to Ditch Witche's web site and I can't find that model...
