who did start tree buzz, was it you tom? it is a great forum, i really learn alot from you guys, very interesting and everyone seems pretty nice. ISA's forum is kind of weak, no one really goes on it. how long has tree buzz been around?

Mark had the original idea. He called me one January evening and we talked about the idea of a forum focused on pro climbers. We discussed a forum where almost anything was up for discussion with a light hand on the 'edit' button. We expect people to act professionally and with courtesy. Heavy monitoring was not our desire. We both knew that there were going to be a few people who wouldn't behave. There are also a few who don't like the goading and barbed jabs that fly around. For the most part, it isn't much different than what I hear in any group no matter the profession, social or economic focus.

Mark gave me the privledge of making the first TreeBuzz post on 06/01/01 10:00 AM.
