My kid was at camp out in Hume Lake for a wk , her second day there she got sick and i had to pick her up , 7hr drive up and 7hr drive back home all in one day, I will never do that again... Ive been to hume, super sweet place, sad you had to go from there...you donts see many like that these days.. real humbling to be under a tree that big

Nice pics, I wish we had BIG trees like that here in Michigan. Are you going to plan a trip there, now that you seen what some of the sites have to offer?

You got that right! Our next trip is up north to those big trees... I was just talking to a freind of mine who knows some one up there that does work for the forest dept , there is a group of climbers that do some kind of volunteer work on those big guys for the forest dept, i think he said it was the ACRT group. So on a big tree like that do you use a "Big Shot" to get your line up..and also once your line is up there how do you know it is secure? Thats an awesome tree by the way..I wish there were some of those on the east coast. well Good Climbing to ya!
