Getting burnt out>>>>help please!

I meant to say 'I still can't believe HE ADMITTED that he drives a minivan.'

...He might be a cross-dresser for all I know. Anyone that puffs themselves up that much surely has something to hide.

personally i find the salty, old, worn out, drunk basturd entertaining and informative and yes i believe he dresses up like j edgar hoover and types on tree buzz and hangs out with the transvestites at the local redneck gay bar and calls them fags.

True enough. I still can't believe he drives a minivan.

LMAO yea I know I gave the big 2005 diesel Dodge 2500 up about 3 years ago.

3 kids will make you do that type of stuff. More fun to have the dvd, room to haul the freinds, and last not, never forget about the soccer moms they love a guy that drive a minivan. I have been hit on more times in that van then ever in my truck.

[ QUOTE ]
Actually, I shouldn't say this probably, but he's the only guy I've hired in the 15 years of being in business that can consistantly get jobs done in the time that I quoted for me to do them.

He's not perfect.... If he was perfect, he wouldn't smoke cigs on the job and he would also be a hot female model that would give me pleasures on the side.

[/ QUOTE ]

Thanks I think, your not going to want me to show up in 6 inch heels are ya?

Hey hollenwreck why the @$#& you dragging me thru the mud. I am on your side. This is one of the biggest poser sites out there. You gotta quote me when I know there is no one out there making 156,000 a year climbing trees. Why do you have to say I gotta get better. I am here crying in my beer.

I didn't mean for it to come off as a drag down. Was just say 75 an hour makes alot more sence for 2 guys and that ground guy you bring better help drag, and not just stand by the portawrap holding the rope.

I still dont know who is getting 75 an hr. If your going to contract climb, I think you have to be way aggressive. Not only at work but getting the work also. That may be what the issue is here. Tons of stress. Gotta get the work, gotta get the work done just to get hired again. No wonder boogie is all jazzed up. Hope there isnt anything for you to mis quote in this post hollen.

yeah but he makes the buzz entertaining and well your whining sounds kinda high school cheerleaderish to me. grow up aren't we all supposed to be
on here to have fun and crack jokes. since when did this world get so sensitive. i told a ground guy "get your fat in gear and get that rope untied" and got told that i need to "choose my words better". what happened to being a man in this country are we all hiding behind lawyers and judges and "rights"? what happened to do your job right and efficient or toughen up
and take a butt chewing or quit and go home? what happened to being a MAN?

Well said Jeff!!!!

I heard the military can't even call names and single individuals out in bootcamp anymore, they have to refer to the whole group and not shoot one guy down.

that sounds like BS if that is true. I think they should try to break them down and see which ones are toughest to get the best guys for possible horrible conditions in combat.

yeah, toughen up your internet skin you big babies, it's just text. Get mad and talk back if you don't like something said to you and then get over it.

We don't want arguing and name calling all the time I understand that.

I think a lot of you babies have learned that if you say you are afraid to post due to being picked on by people like Hollen, you have learned you get a moderators sympathy and have been successful in getting hollen and others banned. Hollen has eased up, so you ease up on all the crying...

LMAO, I have a good buddy of mine that is still in the Army, he is now a drill Sgt. I know this to be a fact what they do is give out plastic cards yellow and red. When you feel your being picked on too much you use these cards to force them to ease off. Yellow means I'm upset, red means I'm a wussie from Vermont and can't take anymore.

One wonders if this is a, what they call them/, smurf, a person who pretends to be someone eles under a different name. Do the Treehouse tuff guys really have the very thin skin in real life they show here? Is it only cool to pick on others and say stuff about some under the cloak of Butch's secert thread? Lighten up dude I didn't pick on anyone in this thread at all. Fact I was the one attached here for a mini van, not even owning a chip truck, and words of being gay.? Trust me though you wont see me PM the mods about my hurt feeling, fact I could not stop laughing at some of the post made. I gave the guy good advice back out for a bit go back to afew days aweek. He'll find he likes the work again. Or, grow up put your 8 year old he hurt my feelings crap aside and push through the wall he has hit and for god sake be a man for once in his life. He might find once he does this him and his wife can move out of his moms basement and into a house.

Like to see how well you spell with a 12 pack in ya, now your going to pick on my one finger pushing before the other while typing drunk.

Burnt out? I guess I have only been doing this for 5 years, but burnt out? This is by far the best job I could have ever found. Sure, it's tree work everyday, but every tree and every scenario is different. So many ways to look at stuff and use your brain to get stuff down. In all fairness I am not a "production" climber, I can take a little extra time to get stuff done, look at stuff from all the angles. At least 3-4 times a week someone will be walking by and ask me how I found work doing something they loved to do when they were a kid - climb trees. Sure, they don't fully understand the dangers involved and how tough it is on your body, but we are climbing trees! If your burnt out, stay outta the trees cause your minds not in the game, you're asking for an accident.

Sidenote - Holly is a ballbuster, but I'd rather have someone tell me how they feel vs. someone who just talks behind my back. What the hell would you do if someone confronted you face to face? Get some confidence in yourself, it's gonna help when the armchair quarterback starts telling you how to remove the tree.

Holly - I had a minivan for the family - but would never admit in public!

interesting read on the 'mini-van driver':

[/ QUOTE ]

Nice read, don't fit my profile but still, nice to know. To me sounds like a blog post of someone who lost his wife to a guy that would drive the kids to the game and take the guys wife, while he headed to the bar to drink with his buddies. I noticed alot of single dads tend to drive these for the way they are fitted. Seats fold flat to handle just about any gear, women see you as a a fatherly figure, and they get better gas miles than a big truck, plus I love all the power doors.

Hey, I gots me a minivan... TV... back up camera... and the things got balls! it's way practical and great for road trips.

Holly the familyman? you better believe it!

I'm a contract climber in the Portland area. I live in Hood River and climb for one tree service there. Then in Portland 1.5 hours away, I work for three tree services consistently and one more on big jobs every now and then. I like the constant change of pace and challenges of different crews and walking in blind on jobs. I just make sure to tell people when I am available and when I'm not. Taking that personal time makes all of the difference in my opinion. Also, look at why you are doing it. Is it the job that is burning you out or the reasons you are doing the job?

Don't feel bad Holly...I drive a van too. But mine is a Sprinter 2500 with the turbo diesel.
