Gecko Question

Are the actual climber spur (L shape, part that you stand on and goes up inside of shin) of right and left side Gecko spurs the same? I may have mix and matched two different pairs. Obviously the pads say "L" and "R" so I got that right. Question #2 - I have the pads adjusted to @ 2" below my knee. I feel like the spurs are not snug against my leg and spur angle into tree is not optimal. Recommendations to proper fit?

I cannot remember for sure if the stirrups on Geckos are the same from side to side, but you should be able to look at them and see a difference if there is one. If there is a difference, the base of the stirrup should be offset forward slightly.

If the spurs are uncomfortable, you can raise the pads slightly, I believe mine sit a little higher, closer to an inch below my knee. If they feel comfortable though, they’re right for you. The Geckos are not the closest fitting spurs I’ve worn, personally I like the fit of Kleins better, but I wear Geckos because they’re so light.

My carbon fiber geckos are without a doubt a left, and a right. (There’s also still a sticker stating on the shank) The way these are angled/designed, my eyes and imagination say that if you had them mixed up it would be a incredibly weird user interface.

My steel geckos fit really bad, the weight was great the spikes were good but they just fit weird like the angle between the foot part and the shank that goes along your leg is off and the area your boot sits on is super wide.
