Gear Bag

My gear bag has become a little heavier since reorganising climbing and essential rigging gear. I was looking at either backpacks or something on wheels to make life easier. I remember a post mentioning SEI backpacks but can't seem to find any for sale. I know a lot of people like travel luggage but when I checked some out at REI I noticed the pockets wouldn't be practical for tree gear.

seems interesting but maybe a little too flashy especially because the black option in the texas heat is out of the question. Anyone with suggestions?

.... my way out as my gear bag gained weight is .... hard cases with wheels .... not cheap but durable ......so watertight I often leave them on the truck overnight , even if it rains... Dave

I've just finished reading the review of that Raven bag and it's very impressive... and pricey.
Never seen the Crag Station before but I'll try to find more pictures.

I bought a husky tool bag from home depot. It's like an over over over sized carry on bag with wheels and what nots. It's made to transport circular saws and such for contractors. It has a ton of space and is rugged as hell.

I picked it up for 50 bucks on a half off sale. Holds all of my gear, both of my saddles and spikes, two hard hats, a few faltheimer cubes and two climbing lines and still has plenty of room.

Only problem. It doesn't fit in my toolbox in the bed of my truck.

I bought an SEI from Bishop last year. Very nice well made bag.
An SEI bag was also given away as a prize last fall at the KY TCC. (I thought the donation was from Bishop, but not sure.)
In the process of looking for a supplier, I talked to the guy who made them; I think he said he might not be making more.
Call Bishop; it was in last year's cat. "Vol 2"; p. 65.
I don't see it in my lastest cat. "Vol 3".
Ciao !
