galls

This is from one of my clients Hackberrys. I know they are galls, but from what parasitic wasp. My client insists that I find a way to prevent this from happening next year.

I tried to tell her it was merely aesthetic and not practical to control, but she insists. Anyone deal with this?

This is information I found at another web site (North Dakota State University Extension Services) http://www.ext.nodak.edu/extnews/hortiscope/tree/hackbrry.htm
"If you really want to attempt control, spray with Sevin or diazinon in early spring as leaves unfold, but it is generally not worth the effort"

If you do spray...please post on the observed results I would be interested to see what changes. Hope it works
