Interesting now days you have to watch several different news channels to detect sensationalizing by cropping sound bites eg Trudeau and the dumb remark being by Trudeau (not) or being read from an article.. Really feeds biases. However, it was well said. Took 8 news plays before the false signs at stte of the union were revealed. In passing Trudeau's dad was also a cut the crap say it straight guy. Fuddle duddle Trump!

ps we're now in the creating the crisis stage of most of trump's initiatives, arming everyone up for ww3 being the scariest

Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, said Wednesday afternoon that Trump decided to "give a one-month exemption on any autos coming through USMCA," the trilateral trade deal that Trump signed in his first term, known in Canada as CUSMA.

Leavitt said the changes come after the leaders of America's Big 3 carmakers, Ford, General Motors and Stellantis, called the president with a request for tariff relief.

I had a customer who said "what trade war?" when I mentioned trump's first term, prior to the election. I said "don't you remember the news?". The faithful have blinkers syndrome.
 
I spent years building up my (regrettably rather small) retirement IRA. It was slowly steadily climbing all during Obama's and Biden's term in office. It stalled completely during Trump's first term. Now it has dropped almost $4K just since January, half of that just since his tariffs BS.

Jesus, the guy is insane! The Canadians will never stand for that. We can't annex Canada against their will. The GOP is going to have to muster up some backbone and stop this moron before he does irreparable damage. We can't wait for the midterms; that will be too late. This betrayal of our best allies and sucking up to our enemies is treason. I wonder if there is any truth to this stuff going around online that Putin may have something serious on Trump? Like Trump may have compromised himself when he was over there as a businessman. He is so vain and vulnerable to flattery, as well as vulnerable to any bimbo woman, that he would have been a very easy target for a honey trap for the KGB. And I don't think he would have given any thought to the consequences of aiding the Russians if he thought it was going to further some big business deal back then.
