I doubt it will make a difference to people that were gonna vote for him, and reinforces the victim complex many have, and so will strengthen their resolve to see rump in the whitehouse. But, it does make for some amazing headlines to have a convicted felon in the lead for a presidential race. Certainly a conversation starter regarding the post release treatment of felons in this country.

If this nation is crazy enough to allow this convicted felon and a known sexual assaulter of women back in the Whitehouse does the state of New York have any obligations to release him if his is sent to jail, or does he run this country from his cell? A jury of his peers found him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt on all charges long before the 2024 election, so it should be interesting. I myself am preparing to hunker down for the immediate future.

Reading some of the responses and reactions from the Republicans is a bit concerning. Even the statement from Biden, it's concerning. Shit is unraveling possibly? 2 different realities emerging right before the election, yikes.
 
"Two-thirds of registered voters say a conviction won't change they way they vote"....let's all just bury our heads in the sand mmmkay.

"No one is above the law"....yet Trump in theory would have the power to pardon himself (and don't even get get me started on how preposterous presidential pardons are).

I mean the American Revolution was started over less, yet everyone seems content to just bitch and moan on the internet rather than do anything tangible.

The world truly is going to shit and we only have ourselves to blame. I used to think the people saying they wouldn't bring a child into this world were being overdramatic. Now I think they're on to something.
 
It could get bad. The economy, society, could all collapse. Civil war? Or maybe the caldera volcano will erupt. The kids, people, can adapt to the times imo. It's exciting times, interesting, I wouldn't choose any other time to live. Information junkie for one. Maybe we'll see some silicone gods, who knows?

Trump is a hot air blowhard. Nothing particularly fearsome about him or his minions. There are far worse things going on in the world that people either don't know about or choose to ignore because he's so captivating.

A great reset wouldn't be so bad. Humans are a virus and the universe needs to give the earth a big ol' antiviral shot. Call me pessimistic, but for all of humanities achievements and future promise we counteract that with unimaginable destruction.

These are state charges so I don’t think Trump could pardon himself if he were to be re-elected.
