Fu*%face Von Clownstick

I read a BBC article on this and it sounded from their timeline of events that none of this was a surprise. The 'raid' or search only consisted of a select area of the house and a good few months ago trump was asked by the feds to install a better lock where the documents were kept, and other docs were previously returned (some torn up)..

Does anyone still believe that Trump--a man who lied 30,000 times (documented) while in office--would not deliver these documents to our potential enemies if he thought it would bring him money and power? This is the man who publicly called upon WikiLeaks to release top-secret information against his political opponent!

Why is there even one person left who gives this man the benefit of the doubt after he despoiled all of our intelligence agencies just to give Putin a hand-job. So what if Putin asks, "Hey, Donny, have you read any good documents lately?"

We should listen to Maya Angelou: “When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time."
[or, in this case, the first 30,000 times]

Or Wikipedia: "In June 2016, USA Today published an analysis of litigation involving Donald Trump, which found that over the previous three decades Trump and his businesses have been involved in 3,500 legal cases in U.S. federal and state courts, an unprecedented number for a U.S. presidential candidate."

Could anyone here lie 30,000 times or be involved in 3,500 legal cases in a single lifetime? Only a madman could do it!

Instead, people run around seeking to defund the FBI. THE FBI for cripes sake! While Marjorie Taylor Greene files to impeach Merrick Garland for doing his job. Did anyone talk like this when Nixon was investigated! And what's the plan for the after-insurrection party, when all our protections and institutions are lost? I'll tell you: A civil war with the same folks who overran the Capitol--just many more of them.

Rabid election-deniers are becoming priests, parents, teachers, mayors, governors, congress-men and -women, school officials, secretaries-of-state (in charge of elections), and more, all across the land. Most folks I know are afraid to voice any type of political opinion and choose instead to look away—exactly the response necessary for the violent, armed mob’s takeover. Like Hitler, they will simple light the fire and point to their enemies. We must be ready to defend our liberties against this very real threat. Should you think I'm overreacting, please read [EDIT] How Civil Wars Start by Barbara Walter. [EDIT]

Time will tell what was recovered.

For Trump to be in favor of them being revealed doesn't look like he's trying to hide something, this time.

Donny and his team of lawyers had copies of the search warrants and a concise list of everything that was taken by the FBI. If Donny had in fact wanted all this info to be made public all he had to do was release it.. It's as easy as that. He never did though. I wonder why? Because The Barking Yam is a pathological liar who is doing illegal shit.

We are not talking about Donny getting caught red handed admitting to sexually assaulting women here. We are not talking about Donny getting caught red handed asking Georgia's top election official to to" go find 11,780 votes". We are not talking about Donny getting caught red handed trying to blackmail the Ukrainian President into helping him (Donny) win the 2020 election. We are not taking about Donny getting caught red handed continually lying to the American people about the extremely contagious and deadly nature of covid. Nope. We are talking about the very real possibility that our nations most highly classified information and nuclear secrets are being sold to our fucking enemies.

There seems to be so many routes to take to a conviction of the former White House occupier. Tight now so many of them seem to be pretty much locked in. The slow plod through the legal path takes time. This is a lesson learned from daddy rump and his attorney decades ago

I had an awful realization that might come true. I don’t know how the legal process works, maybe someone else does

Here’s the scenario

rump dies before being taken to trial. What happens to the multiple lawsuits he’s tangled in? There are some where the business entity not the person is in trial. In others it’s the person

Urgency, along with M Garland’s record of no losses, I’s encouraging.

As Captain Jack Aubrey says, There’s not a moment to loose

For lawsuits against a corporate entity, when the entity dies, the lawsuit dies. The only exceptions would be under limited circumstances when wrongful or fraudulent actions of the entity might give cause to a judge to pierce the veil and hold the principals/owners personally liable. This would not be common and you would need a strong case. This is a situation where, in the greater good of all corporations, a Trump appointee might decide to rule in his favor.

If the person dies, the lawsuit dies. Again, there are exceptions. The jist is that if the person being sued has less than arms length relationship with others, as it relates to the actions that resulted in the suit, then the claim can be brought against those parties. This would be a very complex web. Again, a Trump appointee in one of the courts could very easily justify shutting it down without a strong case.

Of the two scenarios above, I would think the first is a much more likely scenario where a lawsuit could move forward. However, because Trump has run things as a family, then I wouldn't completely rule out the second as possible. In the end, in either scenario, it will come down to the judge who might not want to open up can of tort worms.

It's looking like Republicans will support Trump no matter what he does EXCEPT when it comes to screwing them in the midterms. The number of Republican leaders jumping off the Trump bandwagon seems to be quickly growing in the wake of the elections.

Whether or not the MAGA faithful will dwindle in numbers if Republican leadership moves on from Trump is another question.

I imagine Trump is starting to worry, as I suspect regaining the White House is part of his strategy for staying out of jail. If he announces his candidacy Tuesday, I'm sure nothing will be off limits in his efforts to obtain the nomination, especially since nothing has ever been off limits before.

How come ya'll cant grasp the fact that everything about both sides (the Establishment) is evil and corrupt? Our entire government is owned by the corporate media, Big Pharma, the military industrial complex etc. Not one person in government makes a single decision to benefit the people. The only losers of the midterms were the American people. Our country is being destroyed from within and all you guys can talk about is Trump. Any critical thinking ya'll might have possessed at one time is long gone. Be better than that.

Both are corrupt and yet one is substantially worse for its citizens well being, it's not a complicated position. Imo the dems are no saints but most policies expanding corporate access to the machinery of government come from conservative republican policies and governments.

@eastsidetimber I am curious to hear what you think should be done to address corporate influence in politics?

Would you be interested in the ideas of an employee who said "this company is f-ed up" and offered no tangible solutions? Are you implying in your above post that conservative politicians from "outside" would do something different?
