Friction Devices/hitches

Just wondering what people use when they are climbing,I use a blakes hitch on NE Hiviz & a Lockjack on XTC plus for climbing,I also use a VT with micro pulley on my lanyard.
When i first started climbing i was taught to tie the prussik,then went on to prussik loops & have used all 3 since.

Self Tending Icicle in 3/8"Tenex.

i save old tails/cords for tightening lines etc.; pulling lines tight with truck or chainhoist linked to host line by cord. 3/8" Tenex is 5000#; i figure 8000# roughly on 2 leg friction hithes made with it.

Ever since the ISA world championship I use the Knut hitch on my lanyard and my life line.

Rich, do you find that you have to loosen the Knut every so often because it tightens a lot? I did. I have that same problem with a bunch of hitches. That's why I'm always trying new ones.
