Thanks all! Those really look great! What did you put on them?
That sounds like a good combination to me. I don’t think I have ever tried that seasoning, but I’ll have to look at it. I’m always up for something new to try. Check out my spice cabinet, you will see paint you have evidence of that! Anybody want about 15 half-empty containers of seasoning? Thanks all!
Hickory smoked thick cut bacon, McCormick BBQ seasoning, and finally Sweet Baby Ray's honey bbq sauce. Nothing fancy and easy to find at my Podunk village's grocery store.
This was the first time I've used that seasoning, not bad. That sounds like a good combination to me. I don’t think I have ever tried that seasoning, but I’ll have to look at it. I have also not tried sweet baby rays honey barbecue sauce, though I do keep the regular sauce in my refrigerator. I’ll give that one a try, I am looking for a good honey glaze for my smoked chicken thighs. I made one myself the last round, it was OK, but it wasn’t really all that good.
Thanks for the review. Maybe I’ll try it and add in a good dose of honey, maybe to two to one sauce to honey, and see how that works. This was the first time I've used that seasoning, not bad.
I have dabbled in making my own sauces, with decent results, but sometimes it's just easier/more convenient to buy it. The honey in this could be more prominent, IMO. I may add some additional local honey to it next time.
Excellent !Dijon and brown sugar salmon for me and panko encrusted Dijon dilled haddock for her (she doesn't like salmon)

Thanks!Excellent !
That looks real good! Are those pork loins I see on the right?
So what is Chivetta's ?That looks awesome, now I’m thinking I’ll get some fresh asparagus to grill up on Monday too
Y’all eat Chivetta’s marinated chicken? Is that a thing in other parts of the country? It’s huge here, there’s busy catering services that exclusively do Chivetta’s, and it’s a common dish for fundraisers by churches and other organizations.
We got a bunch of legs and thighs marinating for Monday, mostly just Chivetta’s, but there’s a gallon freezer bag with 10 thighs marinating in 2 parts Chivetta’s, 1 part Frank’s hot sauce. Probably do some on gas and some on charcoal.
I was going to ask that too. I’ve never heard of it, so I’m guessing that it’s a regional thing since I’m not all THAT far from Buffalo. So what is Chivetta's ?
Thanks for that, I have added a bottle to my shopping cart to go with my next Amazon order. I will have to give it a try.Guess it is a local dish. Probably along with beer battered haddock and beef on weck. It’s not just chicken wings here folks.
It’s a marinade, the company also makes a nice Italian salad dressing, but the marinated bbq chicken is really amazing. Can order it on Amazon now, I was spelling it wrong, it’s Chiavetta’s.
My brother (and probably many others) bitches about anyone cooking it on anything but charcoal, and it is better on charcoal, but it’s still delicious off a propane grill.
