Food Thread

Two racks, one brined, one rubbed. Done with applewood at 4:1:1. Rubbed won by a landslide. Sprayed with a water/IPA/apple cider mix every 20-30 after 90 minutes.20180707_154832.webp

Two turkey tenders with herb and garlic rub at 2 1/2 hours.
 
Pork loin cured with salt and garlic, basted with fresh herbs and butter, pearwood smoke for a bit, zucchini and squash.

We're making a small batch of plum butter...
One of the little, new trees (2nd season) was loaded up with nice, big, juicy plums.
It looked like Charlie Brown's Xmas tree.

Both of the 3rd season plum trees at the Osceola house were loaded up, too. Smaller fruit, but amazing flavor. What we didn't snarf down in the front yard, we made into plum jam.

Love it when the wife cooks this stuff down... whole house smells like a pie factory.
