Florel on fruit trees.

I am currently at school studying arboriculture and was wondering if there was a way to stop trees from fruiting if the client want it. I heard about florell tree spray was wondering if anyone had used it and what results they saw from it. Does it have any noticeable affects on the tree besides the stopping of fruit.

I'm also interested because the small company I work for when I'm not at school does about 100 apple at one elderly complex. Many of the customers there complain about the apples on the walk and worry about tripping on them.

Florel works pretty well, but the timing is the most important aspect. You'll need several spaced-out applications since all of the flowers don't open on the same day. I've used it on pines for dwarf mistletoe and on apples and saw no adverse effects from the spray.
