Flag Tree

I've passed this tree for years on the way to my parents house in Calistoga. A local guy put an american flag where the old top used to be.

So this week I've got off and decided to go for a climb. Great views from the top!

It's my lanyard, ordered from sherrill 8ft 1/2". Switched from using a microcender recently to the all rope setup, and I'm lovin it.

here's a better shot of the tree from a ways back. Some people from the area might recognize it as you come into calistoga.

I thought maybe 80 - 90 ft to the top but when I got my climb line to the first couple limbs it was 60ft. Fun easy climb, you could practically walk up the tree in the upper sections.

That is a really cool idea, putting a flag 90 feet up. Is that in Hawaii? I will be making a trip out there within the next few years, and always open for a fun climb with the lil lady.

Nope, it's in northern california. But there's tons of fun trees to climb in Hawaii, but you might be better off with the hawaiian flag
