First Flyer of Maine Career

kelly that looks really good, cant really read it but looks nice. by the way what is the name of your company? do you have employees yet or just starting up. i left you a pm.

I'll see if I can do another attachment that can actually be read- Kind of an important part of posting it in the first place!

I don't exactly have a company name, I just use my own name, and Professional Arborist as the moniker, which is what Joe does. We both have Maine's FCL license to do business, so we can work independently, or together with each other, or with other FCL arborists. So no employees. Just got my first call from someone in Portland that Joe and I worked for last summer when I was there...guess you all had a wind storm come thru last night huh? Sure wish I were there to help out with the hangers and blow downs...!

terrible storms, today is all snow, we are supposed to get 8-10 inches, jersey is getting in the feet. i am glad i do not live there right now. will you be working out of maine only or travel around a bit?

that one is better, is that your website on the bottom, still cant see that but overall that is nice. did you mail them or pass them around? how did it work?

I feel like I am talking too much on my own thread, but---oh well!
That is Joe's own personal website there, I will email you on your personal email the best copy of it and his website info. He has a client list he wanted to flyer about late winter pruning and I said I would help him. I am mailing them out from here, we will see how it goes, but it should be good for a couple of phone calls...

you need to hook up with nofa, especially if you do alot of fruit trees i will pm all the info on them. good advertising. keep talking who cares that is how everyone learns. i think it is interesting.

That looks really good. I bet you'll drum up some good business with simple to understand information that gives the customer the essentials of better flowers/ fruit now, and longevity, too.

Interesting use of the image. I like it.

Wanna think about some flyer designing sideline? I know that I don't have the time to work on my marketing as much as I'd like. It hard working with a graphic designer and sign maker in the past who don't speak Tree.

Wish I could claim more credit for it but I used vistaprint, so I must confess to not having alot of designing talent. I like to take photos so I am hoping to get more of mine uploaded to use, kind of going the "art card" route, so I use b & w for my cards and flyers, hoping people are then less offended by the mailing if it looks a little less like an ad. Then I hand address them and sign them. Joe gets the credit for the impetus and the concept, and I just tried to come up with an interesting way to present it, which was harder than you might think! TRYING to be interesting is darn hard!

Look's good. Catch's the eye, makes them think. Cool.

I agree. A flyer needs to catch some one's eye in a split second. Otherwise, they will toss it in the trash.

That flyer would get me to draw into the smaller text to read.

Nice!
