What do you like for splicing dynamic cable/rope (Branch Saver, for example) for tree support?
A "regular" 1/2" fid works OK, but I don't need the length and it is a bit cumbersome. Also, I don't have one big enough for the 3/4" rope when I use that (less common). That is kinda loose enough to open up and work it through without a fid, but would be easier with.
Would one like this at @Arbsession work? https://arbsession.com/seadog-stainless-steel-splicing.html
I'd rather just use the smaller one because of the compact size in a tree. I'd assume the larger branch saver will fit through since it is 3/4" flat...
