I was in Columbia, MO about a month ago and visited the state record bur oak. It is also 1 of 3 bur oaks on the national registry of big trees.

Derrick are you top roped into the crane the hole time?

No i stayed tied into the crane for about 3/4 of the cut. Then pull my rope and set up an SRT system (at the time it was F8 revolver) now its using the Kong robot, and finished the cut tied into the spar.

That was just for the spar wood. For the brush i was setting straps, while we had another guy in the tree making cuts. He was the more experienced climber so i only did the wood.
