Learnt this one over 20 years ago in a rail yard; have used it many, many times.
A SheetBend is like a cut open bowline that joins 2 lines; being 'cut open' arranges the mechanix of the pulls in the lacing, to make a SheetBend less secure. A Becket is like a SheetBend; only instead of a bight, there is an eye or round sling; this solves some of the lessenned security; especially in the doubled/round turn form(s). A slipped SheetBend or Becket can still have doubled forms, but can't have both turns trapped, or won't release as clean. But, a False Becket can be more of a true Doubled/more secure form; and still release clean/easily.
Because it uses a 'pin' of some sort to lock/open; it is called a toggle. Great Hitch fer easy relase of high loading and/or quick re-lease.
