That it does. I wonder if they have a model that you don't have to thread through. That is kind of the setback right now with SRT and tree climbers. It just allows for more options.

that is designed for emergencies and ease of use. You keep them set up on the rope in a little compact bag and then when you need to jump out a burning building your ready to go. not really designed for daily use. I also doubt it accomodates bigger than a 9 mm rope. I know that the CMI escape devices and the PMI escape device are made for 9mm or smaller.
