2) Stitch right where the bury begins. Anywhere else and it is possible to just pull the bury out.

OK, here's a pic of my first splice...stable braid 1/2" with a 4" eye. thinking i need to go bigger with the eye next time. plan to use as a block sling.

i'll try to get my ice tail pic up here soon but more proud of this one right now.
