Everest in a Gabillion megapixels

need a hint. that is alot of mountain to cover.

Zoomed up on the people in camp then went up. It kinda shows how big the mountain is. Seems like it goes on forever. Thanks for posting.
 
Has anyone found a climber higher than the Khumbo Ice Fall ?

I found a climber on the edge of the shadow on the left where the KIF flattens out. South Col Route

11:36am---I found some higher. On the left side of the next crumpled ice face. The snow is smooth on the left. There's a camp part way up the face. I think that its Lohtse Face. And maybe one on a route going diagonlly up to the left on the upper smooth piece. It might be a rock though.
 
About half way up the highest snow field there is a camp of 5 tents and a few people just below. Tom, you are being too damned technical about this.

Ever heard of Peeping Tom?

I've never been able to 'get' the scale of Everest. Now, with some people up there I can see.

I stopped by to see one of our local developers today who has made several trips attempting to summit Everest. We had a good talk. He was there when the photos were taken and pointed out his tent. Got a full explaination of the routes including the north face route which is in China. He has lost seveeral friends on the mountain and he showed the point where they died. Definitely puts a new spin to this thread. R. I. P to those who have fallen.
 
Until you see the spec of human existanse, it looks so insignificant. Then you see the tent city, and people on the mountain and it changes the perspective. Very nice picture. Thanks for posting.
