Epic VA Treemek Build

There are displays on the remote...lights on the turret of some...then a stabalizer lifts, truck goes turtle...you know the norm...lol

Steve, I don't like the look of that cribbing. I can cut you some white oak 6x6s if you want to come pick them up, plenty of logs as you know

Sorry peeps I didn’t get out of there until 7pm last night drove through the snow storm and got in at 2 this morning up at 5 today running around getting loose ends tied up, replacing stuff, adding stuff, moving in and making it mine I had to pee today for 4 hours and just didn’t have time lol first job tomorrow it’s amazing but I have to tell you I am the absolute worst 18sp driver ever I just can’t get the down shift rite finally can get through all the gears going up but can’t get on the bottom side of the splitter on the down shift I’m actually surprised I have any gears left I feel so out of whack just based on the difficulty I’m having shifting Super stress inducing hope I feel better on the controls tomorrow 3 jobs and I asked them to take it easy on me Overall I’m happy couple minor hiccups but we’ll work through them super happy with the layout of the truck I have a ton of room left with everything packed up I’ll post some pics soon certainly some of my first gig tomorrow thanks for being so supportive Guess After tomorrow we’ll need to retire this thread!! Beauty!

Before I bought my clam truck an F600 4speed was the biggest I'd driven. The clam had a 10 speed Road Ranger. The 30 mile drive home is where I learned how to speed shift and run the splitter. After a while I could speed shift up and down with a full load and trailer without looking at the tach. All by sound and vibration

Now your fun begins. Working with the truck and making money!

Thanks for putting the huge effort into making this build thread!

I second Tom on the shifting. My first trip home with a 10 speed was rough, and took twice as long as it should. Learning while driving backroads with hills and curves was not fun at all. It won't take long to get smooth with it.

Congratulations on the truck.
