Enough of TCIA's unethical practices

Tony,

I take nothing personal by it and I threw the first stone at you, so I deserve anything you have to say. You referenced only one incident and agreeably that does not justify much of a discussion. Though I spoke of several that left many readers feeling the same way.
I take pride in this industry and feel the need to protect it as much as you do I'm sure. My post style was mean as direct not to offensive.
Tony you are correct a letter to the editor is warranted and I'll take you up on you offer to help me construct it.

Jerad,

I appreciate your clarification and took nothing offensively in any of your posts. (I have developed a very thick skin. For anyone here to actually offend me will require a very personal, well though out attack. Even then I doubt it would work. The things that mean the most to me at this stage of life cannot be taken. I would have to give them away. Should anyone choose that path, this forum wil not be the place to wage that particular battle. It will be handled in a far different way.)

In all my replies on line, here and eleseware, I envevour to be very clear and elucidate my words. Online communication lacks 90% of what makes up communication! Words are all we have here. I am pleased we seemed to have accomplished this.

I would be happy to help you contstrcut an article. A letter to the editor is on you though. For the reasons stated in my other posts, I don't see a wrong to be righted on the publications part. You do and I see your viewpoint. I just don't agree. (Without conviction, any thing I would put together in this vein would be mere artifice.) I do encourage, well intentioned, well articulated discourse. I know Don Staruk does as well.

I would be happy to review any letter and/or article before submission and offer my constructive criticism. This offer I make not only to you, but to any one reading. Please all of you write and submit. Get off the porch.

Technically we won't write the Odyssey, but the Iliad. In iambic pentameters I hope!

Funny shit in those last few posts:)

@Tony saw your last two presentations today with Phillip Kelley at MGIX. Great work!

I'm not a climber but it's always great to see this work demonstrated in a professional and safety conscious manner.

Awesome. Introduce yourself tomorrow. It is always good to put faces to names and meet people in person.

Just kinda curious. Is the TCIA doing anything different than what the Buzz does? If your not a sponsor here your not allowed to get on here and promote your product. I kinda get where TCIA is coming from, however I do not agree with the article.
I would not loose any sleep over this. Their are the companies that will tote their products on these forums, in magazines, and at trade shows. I have found that a lot of talk usually leads to no action. If I was in the market for one of these devices, or any new piece of equipment, I go out and see it in action and talk with my peers who already own whatever I am interested in. If you think about it, TCIA and Altec are helping you look good at what your doing. Because they fail in comparison.
